I've seen it... it's honestly really too flawed and buggy. There are still leftover bits of interface from Ubuntu everywhere, and things act pretty buggy. The Dock doesn't really look quite the same, and the buttons that close windows aren't Aqua-ized like in OS X. MacBuntu is much better, though not a perfect mirror of Mac OS X.

Why not just go with ubuntu, since it appears to be more stable then this?

there is even an os called macpup this is a very stable operating system.

here is a great tutorial Macpup 550...The E-Dog Returns...

although you can make a linux os look similar to a mac you have to realise its not a mac and therefore does not share many of the things that make OSX what it is.

I still recommend if you have a mac to run the default os. and use a virtual machine like, vbox, vmware, Parallels, VM Ware Fusion etc to run your linux os, that is if you really need to.

Pear is an absolute rip-off Elementary OS is "inspired" by OS X. Elementary is still Ubuntu based for better or worse but it is nice looking.

I still say ElementaryOS is the best. It's OSX-like without being a direct OSX ripoff.

Plus you gotta respect that cheesy presentation video they did.

Thanks for sharing. Been looking for a decent but lightweight Linux distro to replace XP on a certain craptop of mine. I'll give it a spin tonight and see if it works out.

Holy... necro threads. By the way to the poster above. "Pear OS" is a reference to Apple in a Disney TV show.

I can't remember the name of the show but i seen it at a friends place.
they have PearPAD, PearPod, ParePhone, PearOS, PareTV, all referenced to Apple in a funny LOL kind of way.
