iPad Pro Pencil 2 broken?

Hi there.
Bought a new pencil 2 from
Amazon for my iPad Pro 2018.

Pencil was full this morning, maybe used for 1 hour and I am down to 53%.
Is this normal? Losing nearly 50% battery life with 12 hours „stand by“ and 1 hour usage?

I can’t find anything about runtime and life span except old bugs.
