So i got the Pencil for my pro for free (as a gift) but i only use my ipad at home, so no need for notes or drawing... any other use for it?

I use my pencil as a nice stylus too, nice for doing a journal, writing anything where you might use a paper etc.

Not unless you want to get into drawing – the Pencil works in a bunch of places (including marking up scanned documents and e-mail attachments if you hadn't considered that), but it's really to enable amazing art stuff like working in Procreate.

Im curious what are some apps to use the pencil with for us non-artists? I would love to be able to draw something and animate it...even if it doesnt look that good. LOL

I recently came across an app specific to the iPad Pro with Pencil called Nubo. The developer notes says that it will recognize natural handwriting and convert it to text. the notes also report that it will smooth out hand drawn diagrams.
The developer's website includes a demo video that looks really impressive. It reminds me of the features that I had with the Apple Message Pad 120 that I got back in 1996; only more modern and accurate.
