Pencil Gen 2 Battery Issue

I'll charge the Pencil 2 to 100%, lay it down on the desk and not touch it for 2 days.
Next time I go to use it the battery is down to 84%.

This has happened several times.

The old pencil could sit for weeks and be fine but new one looses 15% battery in 2 days from not being used?

Anyone else experiencing this?
Could it be defective?
