Hey y’all! Just got the 2018 Pro, upgrading from an Air 1 and a 2014 low specced MacBook Pro. While there’s still some adjusting, the sheer power is intoxicating. I did notice one kind of odd thing I wanted to ask about...
Does the Pencil really drain your iPads charge longevity? In constant use, it lasts quite awhile, even under heavy loads. But I noticed that just sitting in my bag, it would lose 10-20% over the course of not being used for 5-8 hours. My old Air 1 would keep its charge unused for daaaaaays. So I thought of the Pencil... tested it today, and separating the Pencil and iPad rather than keeping it attached, I lost 2% over 10 hours (more what I’m used to).
Does the Pencil lack a hibernate mode causing it to be “always on” draining battery if it’s attached? Has anyone else noticed similar trends?
P.S.- Anything y’all know of aside from like 8k video editing that really uses this things power? Civ 6 is a blast, and the Pro just laughs at it. A portable screen like this shouldn’t be able to play that for 6+ hours
