Probably not worth its own thread, but I can't be the only person who was doing this by accident. If you have a finger on the actual replaceable tip of the Pencil when drawing with a tool that uses tilt data you'll get random shading strokes even when it's upright.
I think what's happening is that the electric noise from your finger is interfering with the signal from the emitters, resulting in the iPP thinking the Pencil is tilted when it's not.
So basically.. keep your finger off the tip if you're using a brush that has tilt dynamics. Doesn't seem to do any harm with brushes that don't use tilt, but obviously you might be adding pressure on top of the contact with the screen.
