People album not showing Pets at all

iOS17 People & Pets album is not showing at all. Mine still says "People & Places". I had the thing plugged in an locked all night but it hasn't transitioned. Still says "Finding People..." at the bottom of the album.

I will try "Reset People & Pet Suggestions" in Settings and see if that fixes it and reply with what happens. Kind of annoying though.
 
This is not a quick process depending on your photo library. I saw someone say it took two nights of being plugged in before it worked for them. By resetting it it's likely starting over from the beginning.

Okay - that might be my issue. We have an extremely large library so maybe it's just taking forever. I'll keep checking on it over the next couple of days. thanks!
 
My iPhone picked up our pet overnight, but added them to the tail end of all the other faces it recognizes. The Photos app still shows it’s finding people, though, and seems to be picking up more images as the day goes on.

There’s another thread about. Leave your phone plugged in over night to index. Others have started showing up.
 
About a month since release and always having my iPhone 13 Pro on MagSafe charger at night - no pets album for me.
