People can't hear us now....

Very odd. Wife and I are having issues with calls not being dropped but it's like the mic stops working. People we are talking to are like "hello...hello, hello...HELL O. The whole time we are like "im here...yo...can you hear me." Then they hang up and call back and say "WTH is wrong with your phone". This just started a few days ago. Anyone seeing this? What could it be. During this, I have full signal. Happening on two iphones.
This is not every call but happens several times in a day.

It can't be the phone. We are both experiencing this and it just started. I have no idea what it could be. Plus, I dont want to get a new phone. I have mine the way I like it and dont wanna go through the whole thing again. Also, they'll give me a phone with 3.1 on it and i'll never be able to jailbreak it.

And why would you not be able to JB it? The 3.1 JB for the 3gs isn't out yet, it's not never coming out. (DN I know)

Cause a 3.1 jailbreak is not looking good so far. Considering all these files needed. ECID, IBEC, etc.

Well, it happens to me mostly at my house. Although i was driving tonight and it happened. I was close to home. Odd cause I have never had an issue with service here. Plus, i have all bars when this happens. I always blame their other parties phone. Now I know it's mine cause it's happening with diff people and now on two diff phones.

Not entirely true. It looks like it will be possible to create a pure jailbreak for 3.1. Both chronicdevteam and the Dev-Team have confirmed that 3.1 is vulnerable to an already-discovered-but-not-yet-revealed exploit, and that they are working on a jailbreak. It was said that having those files would guarantee that Apple couldn't make your phone unjailbreakable, not that it was guaranteed that 3.1 would in fact make users without those files unjailbreakable. I'm pretty sure that concern is past for this version.

It is true that 3.1 is not yet jailbroken, though. And it is also true that there is no carrier unlock for the new baseband and there is still concern that the new baseband might be unlockable, so if you think you might ever want to unlock you should consider carefully before you exchange your phone.
