I have weird shaped ears. The old style Apple earbuds from (forever up until the rebranding as earpods) never fit me and would always fall out. This led to me jogging outside with over the ear headphones, since those actually stayed on.

But I want to get earbuds. The wired earpods actually fit me well. I haven't tried the airpods but I want to get the Airpod Pros.

I also can’t use the old AirPods or old-style earbuds - they fall out if I chew, turn my head, jog, whatever.

The AirPods pro are slightly better but still don’t fit me properly. I hacked them by using comply tips and fitting them over the largest apple tips, and they more or less stay in, but I don’t get a perfect seal, particularly in my right ear.

I would advise not to waste your money. I have a set and have to use the small buds and they still won’t stay in. On another forum on MacRumors, they talk about positioning the air’s in different projections like the microphone up instead of pointing down. Whatever floats their boat. Here’s the problem with unusual pathology of ears: The stem that the bud attaches to is not long enough. For some of us who have zero room in and around the opening into the ear drum, any airpod design will not work. I have much more luck with $20 Chinese BT earbuds than I do with the AirPro’s. I’m bummed. The Pro’s is the first Apple product I sent back in nearly 40 years of using Apple products.

I have never been able to wear earbuds, neither of the AirPods work properly for me. Some of the old iPod earbuds were okay, because they sat on the ears and not in them. Anything in-ear doesn't work for me. Had the same pair of over ear headphones for much of my life, work excellently.

OP here. Wanted to follow-up. I got a pair of AirPods pro and LOVE them! They fit my weird ears perfectly with the stock medium tips.

The sound quality is great and the Bluetooth connection is top notch. I’ve had headsets that lose connection when leaving the room. With these I’ve found myself one level up thinking my phone is in my pocket when it’s in fact downstairs.

airpods have the standard 1 year Apple warranty right? Whenever the backlog clears, I need to get them fixed or replaced. The left AirPod has a battery problem. It drains much quicker. I.e. I’ll check the battery and left will be at 30% while right is at 75%. Often times the left AirPod will be dead in the case which is odd because I thought it was supposed to charge
