hi all,im just giving anyone here the heads up on a few links to some excellent performance tweaks for windows that u can use to git more system performance and gaming etc,

im using many of these tweaks and reg edits on my new 2011 15 2.2 hi res[in bcamp]except bios stuff[mac dont got one, lol],and they do improve performance considerably,so hope anyone out there can benefit from this info,

here goes=check out von dach, this guy is the goods big time !steam forums

this has so much good stuff, especially configuring the multi media class scheduling in windows, registry, thats a rippper!!!

ps,a great program i just bought today is called win lasso pro,24$ for 2 licences, its an excellent cpu tweaking tool that prioritizes foreground/background apps and heaps more, plus gaming config too, made my machine run like a powerhouse -no joke, too fast,my eyes cant see it now, looks all blurry[jus kidding]

so wrap your eyeballs around the tweaking article by von dach, and learn some good stuff-have fun-improve gaming performance and in general, in the process!!cheers ms.:confused:;)

if you use PC, and play games, windows update, tweak files by some applications are basic. the problem is Mac. even new macbook pro doesn't show some high expected performance. plus, macbook pro never uses high end graphic card. it is always mid range card. do you think that ATI 6490M, 6750M are good? think again. especially, graphic card on mac is not equal to performance what PC shows because it is customized for especially mac. that's why I never play games on my mac because I know that problem.

Just buy a cheap PC for gaming and be done with it.

Software performance tweaks - I am very skeptical about them. If they really do work, I wouldn't expect more than a 10% - 15% increase in performance - and that is being generous.

maybe the older macs are average, although i found the nvidia 330 gt was not bad at gaming when i had it on last mbpro, but the new 2011 2.2 6750 is very good, just ask some folks here with new machines[and latest imacs are good too],sure its not a full blown gfx card, but its very powerful for a laptop card and unless you have used these tweaks you really dont know how much they make it better,i do cos i have, and lots here will use there macs for gaming as well as other stuff,so they are the ones im aiming at giving this info,or those who want to make there windows run better on there mac, lets face it,many folks do run win now,and have the best of both,

leaving your windows install at standard settings is a waste of potential extra power u can have, ive seen the difference made on my tweaked system over the last few weeks, and its considerable,i would say ive managed up to a 25% increase in performance in general in some instances, even 10-15 % is huge when considering stuttering or frp,s,plus it can make programs like fotoshop or revit etc run better too,but hey, its good to learn how os,s work, and this info helps hugely.

are u kidding -the 6750 2.2 blows most other 15 latops in that class out of the water, some folks here have pc speed mark scores of 11000,im getting up to between 36-50 frames per second in c.o.d[latest] on 1920x1080 42 inch lcd tele, settings on high-let alone my 15 inch lcd on laptop!!!its a great gaming card, can play anything at excellent specs !! people are playing crysis 2 on high settings with new mac, check utube and macbook pro thread on new 6750 cards.

Updating the graphics card drivers for my 9400M gave me upto 50% better FPS in some games, although other games didn't improve much.
