Performance on Middle-Tier iMac 5k?

Looking to purchase the middle tier iMac 5k (1TB Fusion Drive, R9 M390 2GB), with its main purpose being photography and graphic design (Heavy Lightroom, Photoshop and InDesign CC use) with light video editing (Premier Pro). Can anybody with the middle tier iMac give some insight into their performance with the Middle Tier iMac and whether it was smooth or sluggish, or whether itd be better just splashing the cash on the top tier? Also planning to put an extra 16GB RAM in from Crucial, but wanted to gauge some opinions first.

The 2TB Fusion Drive might be a better choice, because the SSD portion is 128GB, whereas in the 1TB Fusion the SSD is only 24GB which would give you lower performance.

I think overall it will be fine, like r6mile, I also recommend that you upgrade to the 2TB fusion drive. or if your data can fit in the 256GB SSD, that would be the best option.
