Performance question: 10.8 and early 2008 MBP

I own an early 2008 MBP and was wondering what kind of performance should I expect if I upgrade to 10.8. Will it be faster/slower than 10.7.4? Will my cpu/gpu be pegged at 190 degF all the time? Any other comments as it relates to an early 2008 MBP migrating to 10.8 are appreciated.

Well I'm on a Late 2008 MBP, and it's insanely smooth on the integrated graphics, so I can assure you all is well in terms of speed and smoothness. Graphics are great, and all is well. The battery life (after having a 4 year old battery) is only 3 hours. The fans run at 6200 RPM (maybe reset the SMC? I had this bug with Lion DPs) and the CPU is at 70 degrees C, GPU at 60 degrees C. I'd say a 7/10 for compatibility?

Much appreciated. As I mentioned I have an early 2008 MBP and am running it in a non-supported configuration (6gb of RAM). It will be worth the $20 to see if it is better than my spinning beach-ball prone 10.7.4.

You could always test it on the DP? On another partition of course :]
