I use Reminders extensively and have several reminders set to repeat.

For weeks, anytime I click "complete" on a repeating daily or weekly reminder, the notification sound immediately sounds again and the same reminder appears for about half a second before automatically disappearing.

Anyone else seeing this? Any tips? Thanks.

I have this same problem. I went and created a new user and that didn't help, then decided to do a fresh install and the problem still persists. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

For some reason Apple can't figure out how to sync Reminders. What could be happening (and happens to me) is that when click complete on your Mac it doesn't sync this to your iOS device. Then it will back sync from your iOS device that the Reminder hasn't been completed.

That's possible, but it looks like a split-second delay or problem with processing rather than a failure. As I mentioned above, clicking "complete" on my MBP always results in the reminder disappearing, then immediately reappearing (with alert sound), and then disappearing on its own only a split second later.
