After few updates and even a new device I still find some Safari issues persists. I have noticed that tab disappears when undo-ing closed tab and when moving a tab to the iCloud sync tab group. There is also occasional disappearance of previously visited pages from Safari navigation (back button/back menu).

Also some websites occasionally hangs and wont load like Duckduckgo and Facebook. If I try in private windows it and it loads just fine. Restart of the browser fixes that problem.

1. occasional tab disappears
2. occasional pages disappears from navigation
3. occasional not syncing iCloud tabs, especially if they are not in iCloud groups
4. occasional website hangs

All mentioned issues are on both Mac and iPhone. It seems that it’s all iCloud sync related except last issue (4).

Does anyone have same issues?

Gotta be honest it's always been 100% solid for me, though I haven't ever checked whether tabs sync between different devices; it's not a function I've ever needed.

Where in Safari can I find "iCloud sync tab group"? I don't have anything like this. Or at least I can't see it.

You can have individual tabs that sync automatically to iCloud or you can have groups of tabs that sync as well.

While tabs in group will sync quickly, standalone tabs will not sync quickly or they will display tabs that were days old.

I have always seen the occasional website hang. This happens for me with Safari on my M1 Mini, M1 Max MBP, been happening since 12.0 beta and continues. Its not every day, its not frequent, its two or three times a week maybe, sometimes, randomly. It was really bad with private relay, I had to have that turned off since it's inception.

My experience is similar. Problem is that website that hangs is one that I use regularly because it’s my search engine (DDG) otherwise it would be just minor annoyance.

Occasionally I run into this on my Mac Studio:
  • Suddenly Safari stops loading any website except pages already open
  • Restarting Safari does not solve the issue
  • The only solution is to restart Monterey
I have observed this through 12.5RC1. RC2 is too new to see whether this has been fixed.

Never had that issue. I mean i did happen but that was because of Private Relay which is beta. I don’t count that as Safari issue.

Try disabling Private Relay or turn on VPN and see do you have same issue.
