Does anyone run a personal cloud? I am sure some do. I have been looking around to setup a personal cloud for the wife and I on my NAS. I have been eyeing Nextcloud but really have not looked far. Some suggestions would be nice. The NAS has some cloud stuff built into their package center that I can install but it takes a few different apps to do so plus it lacks a few other things.
Also would be using it as a way to give family a simple accounts to see more pictures of our child since we generally don't post much on Facebook or social sites they use.

I did setup the nextcloud client once before on as and tested mac client but it was very sluggish Mac client but saw in their news section they reduced resources for clients.

Looking for:
non-resource hog clients
iOS client with auto upload features for images to make it easier
Bookmark sync
Decent photo album management and way to share certain albums/pictures with others on cloud
Contacts, calendars, and the usual cloud stuff.
And of course secure (well as secure as personal cloud can be since we all know nothing is secure ;) )

Running a Synology DS716+II

I used ownCloud for awhile but didn't test it thoroughly.
I was looking at them also but went on to Nextcloud because from what I seen it is basically the same but better fork of owncloud created by same cofounder after falling out with owncloud.
