Personal Hotspot in iOS 5

Does anyone else PH in iOS 5 at least 2-3 times a week every week? I do and I can tell you that it's no where as good as PH in iOS 4.x. I am using an iPhone 4S and an iPad 2 both with iOS 5.01 (retail not GM), and what happens is that i flick it on under the iPhone's Settings and it obliges well enough but when i try to bridge with my iPad 2, the iPad will just give me that spinning thing in the top left corner. Sometimes it will connect, sometimes it won't. Even when it does connect, i cannot use the iPhone's net. I've tried resetting everything, the behavior is still the same. I've also tried it with an iMac and a PC laptop, same result. Anyone have this same problem?

Same here. I just got an iPhone 4s with an AT&T personal hotspot and I can't get it to connect to my wife's iPhone 4s at al or my iPad 2 with regularity.

I use WiFi Personal Hotspot on my 4s regularly with my MacBook Pro.
It works flawlessly, not had a connection issue yet.

Not tried it with another iPhone or iPad though.

Tell both devices to forget each other then try again. Or, connect over bluetooth. I restored my iPhone and iPad fresh to 5.0 and I've had no trouble with hotspot.

The WiFi mode seems buggy since 5. Bluetooth & USB A-OK
