Generally I find that Personal Hotspot works fine, however I was using my iPhone 7 as a hotspot for my iPad Mini 4 this morning and, for some unknown reason, the hotspot setting on my iPhone apparently spontaneously turned itself off. The iPhone was locked, in my jacket pocket and (I think) playing music via headphones at the time yet the connection to my iPad failed and wouldn't re-establish. On checking my iPhone, I found that the hotspot toggle in settings had changed to "Off".

Does anyone know what might cause this behaviour? I was on the train in an area with variable signal strength but that doesn't normally cause a problem so I'm a bit stumped as to why it might have happened. its not the first time, but today was noticeable that I was using the hotspot at the time!

Any advice appreciated

I'm having issues, too. Often I can't turn on my hotspot of my iPhone 7 (and sometimes it's not even in the settings menu).

Turning off and on again has put it right each time.
