Lately my "Personal radio station" in Apple Music, which I listen to often, just randomly stops playing for no apparent reason. Then, I can't play it again unless I restart the Music app on my Mac.

Has anyone else had this problem and perhaps have a solution? It's infuriating.

Ive had this issue on and off through out the iOS 15 Beta period since Christmas. I dont have to restart the music app though just go and hit play again but its annoying none the less. Ive submitted in the feedback app about it but nothing seems to have been done about it or maybe not enough people have the issue.

I just cleared my Music app cache (rm -rf ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Music) and it seems to have cleared up for now. Now wondering if it was a local issue.

Only time will tell though, as before it played for an hour before stopping.

Nope, just happened again. Music just stopped, then Apple Music no longer works.

I can play stuff in my library including Apple Music tracks that have been downloaded, but that's about it. Gotta restart the Music app to use AM again.

This is disappointing. To be clear I'm not using any sort of beta anywhere. This is all release software.

I get this consistently when playing the personalised station that the Apple Music app makes for me ("the3rdParty's Station") . It will play 3-6 songs ok and then stall. Only way to get it going again is to quit Music and re-open it again. After my station has stalled I still have access to Apple Music as normal.

Other stations that the Music app makes for me (Favourites Mix, Chill Mix etc etc) play fine, and don't stall.

The annoying bit is that the personalised station is actually quite good and I use it as a lazy way of finding new artists and songs.

Used to happen to me all the time. In addition, the personal radio station would fetch anywhere from 2-15 songs, then play them in a loop until another fetch request was made. Server-side validation slows everything down. Not the best decision because this really hurts the customer experience.

Try adding a song to a playlist. Can take anywhere from 15 seconds to 15 minutes depending on how much traffic is hitting their server. Not acceptable for a paid service.

Was AM customer for many years, finally decided to stop allowing this service to annoy me so much. Switched to Amazon Music and am quite amazed how much better it is. Its not perfect, but it is zippy fast and has great recommendations. Basically I do not have to "wrestle" with Amazon Music nearly as much as I had to with Apple Music.

Any other music service is likely to serve you better than Apple Music.
