Philips Bluetooth audio adapter will not auto connect with iPhone 6

My new Philips Bluetooth audio adapter will not auto connect with my iPhone 6. I was hoping that every time I would turn on my Bluetooth my iPhone 6 would automatically connect to my Bluetooth adapter. Does any one have a solution?

PS-my Macbook Pro automatically reconnects...
