Phone Data Usage Alert : 2g->4

Hey All,

Anyone else upgrading from an iphone 2g to an iphone 4 with the original
"iPhone Data Plan + 200 Text" for $20?

I've been getting texts/emails from ATT tonight

My iphone 4 seems to be working fine right now on that original plan...
However it seems ATT is trying to force me to update to the newest Unlimted $30 plan, then buy texts as an extra. Huge price increase compared to the $20 i am paying now.

$30+5(unlimited 2g + 200 texts) compared to $20 (2g unlimted data + 200 texts)

Can we stick with this original plan? Or are we going to be forced to migrate to the new plans?

Original plan seems to block picture + video messages, so would need to at least add a new text plan to use that feature....

sorry but u have to choose a new plan. the plan u were on b4 seems to be for Edge or 2G DATA.

You had to switch to the new plan starting with the 3G and yes you will be forced to switch plans.

Sucks - I thought I read somewhere that original iphone plans would be grandfathered in because they were not subsidized by ATT. iPhone 2g's were the full $500 price back in the day.
