Phone didn't charge over night?

Placed my phone in the cradle last night and this morning when I went to pick it up the battery was dead.

The phone was syncing as I was going to bed so I know it was plugged in. Anyone else experience this?

I noticed "Usage" increased for the time the phone was plugged in.

It shouldn't happen, but I've put my 3G phone on charge and come back a few hours later and the battery level is the same. I sometimes forget it takes hours to back up each time. Till this is fixed the only workaround is to use the plug or shut down itunes after you plug it in

Yea when I placed the phone in the cradle the charge was low so I will assume the battery level was the same. I'll try shutting down itunes next time.
