iPhone Phone doesn't ring under 13.1.2

Installed the upgrade the other day. Phone no longer rings when I get a call, but calls show up on screen. Tried all the settings i could think of or read about but no joy.

If it’s a iPhone with Face ID you can turn off attention awareness

It's an 8+...no FACE ID.

Have you checked your DND and/or silent/vibrate side switch settings?

Try changing your ringtone. Seen occasional issues with tones post upgrade in previous major releases. Appeared as the tone was erased or corrupted post-upgrade. Never with phone for me, but calendar, reminders. Changing the tone temporarily at least might narrow down the issue.

Make sure that Silence Unknown Callers not on. If on, the phone will Not ring unless the calling number in Contacts. Located in the phone in settings. Just a thought.

This is really weird. When I test the phone by calling it from another phone, it will ring properly on three or four calls, then it won't ring on the next call, but the iphone screen will show an incoming call. If I turn off the iPhone and then turn it on again, it will ring properly for three or four calls, then stop ringing on the next call. A shiny new coin to anyone who can analyze and come up with a solution!
