Using my Belkin charging stand and Stand by mode my iphone 2
15 lights up brightly waking me and my wife up. Ringer is off, Do Not Disturb is on, I noted the times that it lit up and I don’t see any obvious notifications, no emails, no texts, no reminders that I can find.
I am baffled and frustrated because Stand by mode is such a great feature but this glitch is making it impossible to use? I contacted Apple Support and they suggested turning of Auto Brightness which hasn’t helped.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Maybe it's your Belkin charging stand.. If charging is interrupted for whatever reason, the phone will light up when it starts charging again..

Every time any charger activates, it wakes up the phone and the display turns on.
The Belkin charger likely is flipping on every once in a while to top off the phone.

A workaround is to not use the Belkin charger and either leave the phone unplugged or off a charger at night or plug it into a HomeKit compatible smart plug and set up a charging automation to only activate the smart plug when the battery level hits the low point you choose.

When an iPhone is plugged into a charger normally, the charger charges up to 100% then turns off. Then it turns on again when the battery drops a few percentage points — but the battery indicator will always show 100%

Thank you, this makes sense.

Thank you for you replies.
I wonder if I charge my phone before bed to 100% and then activate Battery Optimization 80% will that keep the Belkin charger from flipping on, assuming the phone stays above 80% charge though the night?
