This is only happening with ONE phone number, which happens to be in my Favorites. When I look on the Favorites screen, I see the name of my friend, and then I see it disappear until it only shows her phone number. Because I have MobileMe, it disappears from my Address Book as well on my MacBook.

The rest of her contact information stays, including the other phone numbers, it's just the mobile number that disassociates itself from the contact card. Anyone experiencing something similar?

Now ringtones are disassociating themselves from their contacts, this is the second time it's happened! I haven't deleted the ringtones, and the default is what I set it to still (a custom one, not a default on the iPhone), yet none of my contacts that hat custom ringtones kept their designated ringtones.

Anyone else having strange problems like these? Not a huge deal, just really annoying.

Is your friend's phone number part of another contact? I had a situation where my daughter's numbers were set under her name, but I also added an "Emergency" contact and added her number to that so someone could call her if I were incapacitated.

I don't know if her number kept leaving the contact list (I'm sorry, I just never looked), but I did find that every other time she called me, her ringtone would sound. The other times, I got the default ringer. I think it was alternating between her contact and emergency. I finally took out the emergency contact because it annoyed me so much.

All of my custom ringtones were disassociated from their contacts when I upgraded to the latest iPhone firmware. I've been too lazy to reset them all.

Nope, she is just in my Address Book app and my iPhone as the same person, no other person has that number. She is designated as a Favorite (that particular cell number), but none of my other contacts goes through the same disassociation thing.

Thank you for letting me know about the custom ringtones, good to know! :)
