Hi guys,

I upgraded my phone from 1.1.1 to 1.1.4 yesterday using ziphone 2.5 on my mac.

Today I realised that I am struggling to keep signal on my phone. In places where I used to have full signal it is struggling to even have 1 bar of signal.

I have installed BSD as well.

I installed services but that does not seem to work well either. The SSH button keeps vanishing and when I switch off Edge it still stays on.

Anyone got any ideas on how to fix all off this.

Would really appreciate any help with this....

Thanks,

Adit

do a restore

I have no idea on what mite of happened. If your a registered AT&T user, and you have already activated your iPhone, you can do the following:

1. put the phone into recovery mode
2. through iTunes, restore your phone, or recover it back to factory 1.1.4 defualts.
3. Once you have your phone running 1.1.4 factory defualts and everything is working w/o installer.app, run ZiPhone.
3. Select jail break me only
4. Once, you have jail broken your phone, run the installer update, and then go from there.

I started to jail brake my phone just 4 days ago...i was running 1.1.4 with no errors or problems. I installed ZiPhone and that took like a min.

Also, be careful what you download! Some apps may not work yet on 1.1.4. Also, if you try to ssh into your phone via, OPENSSH/BSD SUBSYSTEM, your phone has been opened up to the world. Changing the defualt root password may not work...also may result in a program crash.

another note on ssh: I would uninstall it when your not using it, and then reinstall it when you want to use it. some services apps may turn ssh off, but then it will be back on when the phone restarts. I chatted it up with apple and upon the 1.1.5 release, they are going to have it so when you plug your iphone into itunes, it will mount the harddrive and your'll be able to access files....at least closer to accessing the root via usb.

Honestly, I would restore the phone and start over.

This has happened to me too, but only at home. Anywhere else I go, the signal is fine.

Thanks for the replies guys...

By the time I got home in the evening the phone started working properly... So I have done anything to it since then....

Am just glad it is working again...
