That's right.I tried to restore the jailbroken iphne 5 to factory settings and it just has that circle turning around.Unfortunely my power button is broken so I can't hard reset it. anyone know what I can do to restore it? Will the battery just die and then it will just turn on?

Well my home button is working not the power button.will see what happens

The general advice is to not jailbreak with an iDevice that has issues with these buttons.

Hope all goes well for you.

As of 7:25 AM this morning EST still doing the circle.Eventually the battery is going to die.No?

Use tiny umbrella it will kick it out of that even though its not "supposed to".Then use it to put your phone into recovery mode

the battery will die eventually but it might take a while

It finally happenend at 10am.i then charged it and it started up like normal.i was like so relieved.

I tried that it.It would not recognize my phone.Bottom line is don't erase a jailbroken iphone unless your using itunes.

Glad things worked out for you in the end.

Bottom line is as I said.

Don't jailbreak an iPhone with faulty buttons.
