i had a user who lost his iphone. since there was plenty of data on there the company's policy is to remote wipe it as soon as it is reported. so we did the remote wipe through exchange.

the user then found his phone and we reset up his email. he is now stating that every time he turns on the phone it goes through the wipe again. to be sure it wasnt anything on exchanges end, i logged in and set it to cancel the wipe (even though it was started and completed) but he tells me it is still doing so.

any ideas? i apologize for the vagueness....i am new to iphones plus its a sales man who lives outside of the state.

thanks in advance

when using an iPhone through an exchange server and you do the remote wipe, you must then remove the device and allow it to resynch. there is no need to go through DFU
