Ever since I updated to IOS 10 my 6s+ turns on with just me lifting it up/touching it. Is this a new feature and can I turn it off?

Settings > Display Brightness > Raise to Wake

I don't mind the new feature but I did turn back on the "rest finger to open" function, this way it's just like it was before only you get the raise to wake as well which I'm finding myself using more and more.
