So I live in the boonies where AT&T doesn't work, and am replacing my PDA. I was going to get the ipod touch, but like the camera option of the phone(and am surprised it is the same price). Which would be better as a PDA the touch or phone without phone service (I usually use wifi)

I'm sure I'm mistaken on this, but at a glance:

How are you planning on getting the phone without a service contract or lots and lots of money? That said, the new touch looks pretty cool, and if you have no plans to use it as a phone, go with the touch.

The two are not the same price. One requires a 2 year contract and monthly fees. One is stand alone.

go with the touch, because if you want an unlocked 1st generation iphone, itll be around $350 at the least, the new ipod touch has great new features almost like the phone minus the camera and phone.
