Hello guys!
I consider myself a great amateur photographer but when it comes to taking photos of myself, my friends are not good photographers and do not take good photos with me in the picture.

What I would love to do is:
-Frame the picture myself as if I myself were going to shoot the photo.
-Lock this position.
-Pass my phone to a nearby friend.
-The app shows them the exact position of the photo (the framed picture), so that I can stand where i planned to be IN the photo (not taking it).

The apple being able to lock the position of the photo, it would display something on the screen to show that you are not pointing the camera to the exact position.

I don't know what kind of technology would be necessary to lock the position of the photo.. augmented reality or something else?

Please tell me that someone has thought of this and that the app exists!

Thank you!

Why not simply launch the camera app, then either get one of your friends to stand where you would stand (or focus on something at the same distance) then press & hold on the screen until the AE/AF LOCK appears on screen.
You can now safely hand over your phone to your friend, go stand at the position you locked on and all your friend now needs to do is take the shot.
Job done ~ Focus and Exposure set correctly.

Thanks Beards, but this is what I've tried quite a few times but unfortunately it doesn't work. It always moves away, although I usually not only show them the position but also explain where things should be and what not to do.
I'll keep on looking for an app (there must be something or at least there should be!)
