We’re excited to bring CC apps to Apple Silicon devices, including native support for Lightroom next month and Photoshop in early 2021...the team is working on a native version of Lightroom Classic for Apple Silicon, and it will be released next year. We’re also committed to continuing support for Intel-based Macs."
I’ll hold off for a few weeks to check all is okay. But good to know.Upgraded my 2017 iMac to Big Sur. So far my photo apps (LrC, Ps, Photo Raw) all seem to work OK. Can't wait to hear from other that new M1 driven machines to see if they have any photo app problems.
More importantly all good for your mini (as I have a similar vintage).ON1 Photo Raw 2020, Capture One Pro 20, Fast Raw Viewer and Luminar 4 - All seem to work fine on Big Sur. I'm running it on my 2018 Mini i7 w/ 32GB and 1TB SSD. I have not as yet tried using the eGPU in those apps. That may or may not present issues.
That is exactly the problem I've had with Luminar 3 as well. I figured it was a bug and I hope the fix will apply not just to Luminar 4 but also to the older Luminar 3. I use Luminar 3 for finishing touches sometimes, and I like their "erase" tool better than the one on DXO PhotoLab 4, which is my primary editing program. So for the time being, I'll just do without using Luminar 3 until I hear that the exporting of edited images issue has been fixed, and I'll check it out then.Luminar 4, while it will 'work' under Big Sur, will not export an edited image. It's a known issue according to Skylum and they will have a fix posted very soon. So they say....
Native Apple Silicon Lightroom CC will be available from December, photoshop next year.
Yep - Lightroom CC this month, Photoshop and Lightroom Classic in 2021.
Adobe Apps Not Officially Supported on Apple Silicon Running Rosetta 2
As part of its announcement of new Mac computers earlier this week, Apple mentioned that Adobe plans to release versions of its software that arepetapixel.com
Not sure of 2017, but 2019 and 2020 work.Has anyone used ON1 Photo Raw 2017 (2017.6) on Big Sur? Works fine on latest Catalina.
Should have replied to you about GC some time ago. Anyway Graphic Converter is already on version 11.x. I had been using version 8, and upgraded to version 11 because the upgrade only costs $25.00. But the upgrade to 11 covers from version 6 and up. However, you have to enter the older key code (or is it code key?), and then the one emailed to you after the upgrade purchase.I've had Graphic Converter off and on since the early 2000's. I don't use it as much, but it's still a useful tool to have.
With Big Sur, I have their latest version 11.x, it will not load or run past the menu screen. I've uninstalled it, but no luck.
The latest release notes say that it's compatible. I'll wait and see if an update comes out.
