Hi.

Sometimes for reference pictures to draw from, I take photos of myself, usually hands and feet, face, head, but sometimes I need to take a pose from further away.

I've been clumsily using the photo booth app on my iMac. I get into position in front of the cam, try to remember where I need to be, then quickly hit the shutter in photo booth then try to jump back to where I was before it takes the photo.

I know.

When there's someone else around, I just ask them to take the pics, but I don't have anything better when I'm alone. I have no way of mounting my phone for this purpose and besides, I can't see the screen very well when I'm far enough away to capture the pose I need.

So what I really need is something like Photo Booth, but with an adjustable timer, so I can give myself say 10 seconds to get back to the pose instead of the 3 secs you get with Photo Booth.

Anyone come across anything like this?

How do you command the machine to take picture?
Clicking on the mouse or hit a key on the keyboard?
Can you connect a wireless mouse?
Do you know that there are flying mouse (intended for an Androir Box connected to a TV, but might work with Macs, too.)?

I click the mouse on the on screen button. It's not so much that, but the fact you only get 3 seconds.

I found an online one earlier, which gives up to 15 secs, and managed to get a couple of decent shots, I'm just never very happy giving online platforms access to my camera.

I thought if there was a better app I'd go with that...
