I'm trying to find a software that will do basic photo editing plus also have the ability to design, postcards, cards, photo projects. Is there something for the Mac that would work - PhotoShop Elements or Aperture? What would be the best? I wouldn't need to do real extensive editing, just take out unwanted objects, color adjustment, stuff like that. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Adobe PhotoShop Elements is ideal for this. Aperture is intended for people who need to manage a huge collect of many thousands of photos. Elements is a true image editor. The "take out unwanted objects" parts means you need Elements, Aperture has very limited ability to do that.
