Hey All,

New to this site. I hope I am asking this question in the right place. If not, feel free to re-direct me.

Purchased my first macbook this weekend. Chose the Macbook Air 11. Very happy with it even. Changing over from PC has proven to be somewhat difficult but were getting there.

When we added our email accounts to "mail" every photo and email signature photo from our emails got dumped into my documents. I can see this being a neat function but I would really prefer to keep as much off this macbook as possible.

Any idea how to turn this function off?

Thanks

First of all, congrats on your new purchase!

As for your question, this doesn't sound normal at all to me. Mine has never once done that, sure photos get saved to my downloads folder but I have to manually save them. I take it your using Apple Mail?

Thanks! Had the iphone for years and just upgraded to the 4. When it came time to purchase something mobile we decided against the PC netbooks and grabbed this.

Yeah, its a strange problem it seems. Anytime I mention it to an apply user that are confused and tell me something is wrong.

Gmail account users. Both my fiance and I.

Once you get this issue sorted I'm sure you will be very happy with your purchase, it's a good choice.

Does this sound like your issue at all? http://kb.mit.edu/confluence/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=7766698
