Photo junkies MUST check out ColorSplash!

These effects are things that are done in PS and now I'm doing on the go with my iphone? Seriously? Only $2? Brilliant app, period.

As the OP mentioned this is stuff i used to like doing with PS on my comp, but now i can do it on the go with photos ive just taken!

It's a pretty cool app, be while it sometimes takes a while to get it right, the finished pic looks great!

Yeah understandable. With practice though it really is amazing. You can zoom in to the closest pixel which is crazy. Then you can color much easier and then just zoom back out. Love this app.

I agree. I bought this app from the reviews given, and it was also something that I've been doing in Photoshop for a while. But this makes it so much easier, I just love it!

My only nag is to put the brush size function within the app itself rather than the settings. It's slightly annoying to have to keep going back to the settings just to change the brush size...

Yep, this is one of the COOLEST photo apps out there, and I am a developer myself and have several apps in the photo category.

I gave it five stars on iTunes.

I wish I wrote it (customers suggested to do some app like this), but I was too busy on something else.

I downloaded this app based on this thread and am glad I did. This is a really unique and well-done app. This is the type of app Apple should be showcasing and what other developers should strive for. Apparently the developer also has another app out called Juxtaposer that is equally professionally done. He must be making good coin off these apps and I hope he ends up making more.

This is an excellent app, and the idea of the brush size remaining constant even when zooming in is a very clever way of doing things. Far easier than constantly changing brush size.

My only criticism is the end result itself. I've compared the original image to the saved version from ColorSplash side by side, and the latter's image quality is pretty terrible. Fuzzy, blurry, lack of detail. Is it something to do with the exported jpg? Can the devs please look into it because it's seriously annoying.

I agree with you totally. My only complaint about the app. Look at my sample pic on top and you can clearly see that its blurry. Like u said, I think it has to do with the export. Hopefully they realize it.

No you can use this app with your camera roll and photos you synced as well.

Actually, it looks like although the photo on the iPhone itself is blurry and low res... if you connect it to your computer and transfer the file across, it seems to be much better. HAve a look:

The first is a screen capture of the image ColorSplash saved.
The second is the ColorSplash image itself, transfered to my computer.

The difference is very noticeable, but I have no idea why the iPhone version is so low res.

This could be a learning issue, but right now I'm struggling to "stay within the lines". I expand the size of the picture and add back the color to the desired area. My problem is the brush is often to large and staying within the intended borders is difficult. Any suggestions?
