I had my photo library backed up on an external drive which I haven’t touched for a few years

I have a new MacBook with catalina and was trying to access my files on the ext harddrive or at least copy to another ext hard drive but it brings an error and doesn’t let me copy

there seems to be an issue with the external disk I have tried disk utlity and also tried to fix via command line but no luck

I have connected this external drive to my chromebook and it lets me access the root of the photo library backup , whereas on the Mac it’s greyed out

I wanted to know which folder have all my pictures in it ? Is it MASTER? I don’t mind copyong my pictures from this and restarting a new library but I don’t want to lose my picture

thanks
