does the Memories function only work with new pictures? It doesn't seem to start grouping my existing iCloud Photo pictures

It analysed all my existing photos since February 2014. People's results with it still seem a bit inconsistent, though better in b2 than b1.

Not 100% sure but it shouldn't logically be the case as its the same build as Dev beta 2 and I know that works for some. Process might be choking on something in our library.

I have the problem that the object recognition scans all of my photos perfectly, but I can only access objects from my camera roll, not the ones from iPhoto.
For example if I search "Sky"and if all pictures featuring a sky are imported from the Mac, the sky album will be empty.
