Love this shot. I've grown used to your amazing landscapes (you have a degree of patience waiting for the *perfect* light for a shot that makes me jealous--or realize that I need to get out of the hobby mode and really get serious if I want to create compelling images). This shot is a departure from what you usually post. You nailed it though. Kudos. I'm impressed yet again.

First picture I bothered to convert from raw after my trip to NYC:

Like this shot. Brooklyn bridge shots are a dime a dozen (god knows I have my own collection), but this adds a new twist. Good job.

Not really sure how (or if) I should crop this one... C&C welcomed, please.

Thanks, I really need to calibrate my monitors. The colors look so different when i jump from monitor to monitor, I really don't know if the colors look right to me anymore. On my macbook the sky looks nice and blue, but on my Dell Monitor it looks dull. O well, I also need to learn how to use Raw Photo Processor

I just returned recently from a two month trip to the Philippines, arriving home just a few days before the typhoon came through devastating so much of the Manila region. I went with a Filipino friend and stayed part of the time with his family in Montalban, Rizal province, one of the hardest hit areas. Fortunately everyone I met is ok and the place I stayed was not damaged, however one of my friend's aunt's home was flooded and she is now staying in a shelter along with hundreds of thousands of other people. It's sad to see people who had so little to begin with lose what little they had.

Mother Nature has not been kind to this part of the world this last week, but for me, this disaster hits a little too close to home because it affected people I know and had said goodbye to such a short time ago. This pic is of my friend's cousins. It was hard to get any pictures of them as they'd get really shy whenever I'd point the camera at them.
