I hope you post processed them and they didn’t come straight from the camera like that. They are way oversharpened and overprocessed.
The top photo, the log going across the little stream is and smeared from aggeessive over processing for example.
Ugh.

I just used the iPhone photo software to one click enhance. I will undo it and repost.

Still smeared up with the “oil painting” look. Maybe you don’t notice it if you’re only viewing on the (relatively) small phone screen.
The SOOC (straight out of camera) jpgs often have crazily heavy noise suppression applied which really smears everything up and then often way oversharpned in an attempt to gain back details that have been lost due to the noise suppression.
Not your fault, cameras fault.
The best way to photograph things like this is to make the photo in raw then post process it yourself using one of the many apps available.
Here’s a section of the SOOC jpg as it appears on my relatively large table screen. On my laptop or pc monitor it would look a lot worse.
