I don't know if this is the right place to ask but when I try to copy photos from my phone to *any* computer there is one photo, where the copy always has 0 bytes.
it looks normal on my phone and I can download it from icloud (it is lower resolution though) so what is wrong with the file, why does this happen?

What version of iOS? To what OS on your computer do you transfer?

how do you copy from the phone to the computer? via iTunes? Snapdrop? Sendanywhere? Apple’s Files?

Is it just one particular file or each time you copy pictures/photos there is one after the transfer with a size of 0 bytes?

If it’s a particular file, what is the result after you connect to iCloud on the computer with a browser and download that image?

If it's possible, restart (turn off and on completely), change the data cable + try exporting photos via Image Capture

my phone is ios 15.3.1 and the computers I tried are both windows 10.
I used the usb on the charging cable to copy the files manually.
it's only happening with one picture. on the files on my phone (when I open the folder on my computer) it looks completely fine. but when I copy it and try to paste it anywhere, the copy always has 0 bytes
It's normal if I download it from icloud on any browser, but all icloud downloads are much lower resolution than the original files on my phone

If its your actually iCloud Photo Library the photo should be a bit for bit copy of the original. That includes Dolby Vision, HDR, HEIC, etc etc. Get the properties on it after you download it and swipe up in Photos on the iPhone and get the properties there and compare them. Could be the cause of your error.
