I never knew these sort of things existed. Now we know where @The Bad Guy gets his ideas!

Well I try to be a multi faceted amateur photographer.
My main interests are astrophotography, landscapes.
However since I have a "good camera & lens", with tripod/wireless remote, I get asked to handle family group photos and other occasions.
Hence having some tips to up the quality of those photos would be helpful, hence I asked.
