Canon Pixma iP4200 hands down. Dye-based inks for 100+ years life, individual ink tanks (about $10-15/tank but they hold more than the average tank), borderless printing, built-in double sided printing, dual paper trays...and the best part, you can find it for around $100. If you're looking for a DEDICATED Photo printer, look at the Canon Pixma iP6220.

Can anybody recommend a good photo printer? Possibly even a great photo printer?
The Epson R300 is pretty darned amazing as well. Borderless, integrated card reader, individual ink wells, all that fun stuff. Quite cheap for its amazing quality.

Just got the Canon iP6600D and it is awesome. My old but trusty i960 died on Sunday so I went and got this one asap. Very nice prints and fast. It seems to have extra features (3.5" flip screen, duel feed printing with a bottom paper feed) that my last Canon didn't have.
I have this running from my AE and it has the option of going BT with the Canon BU-20 dongle, I do wonder if a D-link would work the same for it but that's another day ;)
Almost let this slip...it can read/write to the memory cards and your Mac, very nice feature I must say :) Any more Q's about it let me know.

Any modern inkjet printer is photo capable. I have a lowly Epson R200 and it produces beautiful photo quality prints. But the printer requires Epson paper and expensive inks. I use the Epson more for DVD disc labels so my experience is limited in this regard.
