Photo sorting

IOS 4.3 sorted my photos under events by the date the photo was taken. IOS 5 sorts them by some method I don't understand which results in "strange" photo groupings. Can one sort by date taken in IOS 5?

Interestingly, when I load new photos they are tagged by date in "events" just like before IOS5 but the previous photos are still grouped "strangely". "Photos" has them in date order.
