I decided today would be a good day to import some photos I've taken over Halloween. What a great opportunity to use iCloud/Photostream on my MBP...right?

I take all my photos with the iPhone 4S. The iP4S shows all my recently taken photos as being uploaded into Photo Stream.

Today, I fire up the MBP and open iPhoto and click on Photo Stream. To my surprise, I only get about half the photos downloaded and it acts as if it has done its job marvelously. Problem is, there are more photos in Photo Stream that I want to get on my MBP.

I search the net, and find a few others have similar problems with iPhoto. Seems the work around is to turn Photo Stream "off" then back "on"

This did the trick, but you can imagine how painful it is to re-download all the photos again.

Has anyone else had this issue, or have any idea if Apple is aware of this phenomena?
