Hi,

In the iCloud menu, the photo stream option is greyed out, saying I have to update iphoto or aperture. I'm currently running iPhoto 9.3.2 and aperture 3.3.2. I've tried using software update on iphoto to get 9.4 but it says I already have the latest version. With aperture I can't find the software update option at all! I got neither app from the app store so can't update them that way, will I have to buy them again if I ever want to upgrade/use photo stream again? :(

P.S. I just downloaded OS X 10.8.2 if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance,

Matt :)

Exact same problem and I only have iPhoto 9.3.2. No Aperture. 9.4 is the latest version in the app store... The message in System Preferences says only 9.2+ is required though...

thanks to stonefly on this thread, I've managed to download both iphoto 9.4 and aperture 3.4 updates, well downloading at anyway. Fingers crossed this fixes the problem :)
