Photo stream not working

Enabled on both my iphone and ipad. Both on wifi. When I take a picture with one, it doesn't appear on the other. Even after waiting all night and restarting the devices.
 
I had to upgrade my iPhoto on my MacBook before it worked... not sure if there is an update needed for the iPad or not.
