Photo Stream: One Device per Computer?

Well that seems to be a retarded decision....

I can only use one photo stream per computer? So since my wife and I share a desktop, only one of us can take advantage of photo stream?

This seem to be true. Not sure why Apple will not allow multiple Photo Streams to iPhoto or Apple TV. Some houses may have 3-4 iPhones each with a different iCloud account. So why not be able to Photo Stream everyone's account.

It works fine for me - at least with the new Aperture that was released today.. Me & my wife share an iMac. When she's logged on and runs Aperture it shows her photo stream. When I log on & run Aperture it shows mine.

Do you have separate logons on the desktop?

No logins for Apple TV. And no we don't login to the family computer.

We use a single login on both our desktop and laptop...and I would imagine that >50% of households do as well...

I've always used multiple logins for my iPhones and iPad, and solely for that reason. I've just found it easier to sync when using separate logins.

Hmm yes, that is pretty lacking.

Unfortunately iCloud seems designed with just one person using all the devices on 1 account. And this makes sense for things like document syncing because if you had multiple iCloud accounts on one mac user account you would have to select which iCloud account you want to sync to when using Pages or something like that, which defeats the seamlessness.

For other features like Photostream though they need a separate login I think, so that a family can add multiple accounts to pull photos from. They need this on Apple TV as well...
