So, I've looked and might be missing it, but during a photo synch where does itunes put the photo's you've taken on the iPhone? I found a new directory in My Pictures call iPod Photo Cache, no I don't have an iPod, which is filled with empty directories starting at F00 and going up, I think its up to like F50 right now. There is a database file in that directory, but don't know what it does.

Thanks for any assistance/guidance.

Open iPhoto while your iPhone is docked. It will ask if you want to import pics from the iPhone

You do indeed have an iPod, but its part of the phone, ofcourse. When iTunes optimizes photos for the iPhone it creates a directory of these photos in the iPhoto directory. In essense these are the converted photos that then get copied over. So just leave the directory there as is.

I'm assuming based on the fact that you have a 'directory' called My Pictures, you're using Windows. If that's the case, ignore the previous 2 posts, they were assuming you're on a mac. Please post your OS so that we can more appropriately help you.

iTunes sync doesn't pull photos from the phone as far as I can tell. Use something like Picasa, or the Windows Camera and Scanner Wizard, or any other utility that can pull photos from a regular digital camera.
