I know there are threads about this a while back but I didn't have this issue until 10.15.5. photoanalysisd is using over 90% of my CPU and last I checked since the last time I killed it it had used 99+ hours of CPU time. I'm not interested in putting people's names on my photos and many are of things not people and I'm not interested in having a slow and hot MAC. I could manually add all the names faster than this is happening. I have added a whole bunch of people because I've seen hints that this speeds up the process.
I know it stops if I open photos and I have tried killing it which works for a while but then it reappears.
Is there any real fix for this? As with other things it would be nice if Apple gave you a choice about this function. I'm considering keeping no photos in the library on my Mac.
Thanks
