There's been a lot of chatter about great photo apps here lately (probably due to the much better camera found in the 3G S) and PhotoForge seems to top the list of wonderful apps within the store.

I downloaded it a week or so ago at $2.99 and am pleased with it.
I see it is now on sale for .99c and I'd think if anyone passed on it for one reason or another (such as owning other great photo apps like, Photogene, already), now would be a chance to try this one out at a decent deal.

(I don't know the developer or have any connection to the app whatsoever, just wanted to pass on a bargain.)

It definitely is one of the better photo apps out there. Probably the closest thing to Photoshop that you will see on the iPhone.

I have Photogene but bought this due to the price drop.

It'll take some work to learn all the capabilities of the app, but I've already been able to sharpen a picture.

Thanks for the info! I just downloaded as well and will play around with it. This is my first photo app so it will take some getting used to.
